UV protection with topical sunscreens and avoidance of excessive natural and artificial UV exposure are significant ways to protect yourself from skin cancer.

How facial lesions are managed:

In our office, Dr. Daou will examine you and determine if the lesion on your face looks suspicious for cancer. He will explain the procedure to you and possibly schedule a biopsy and/or surgical excision. If indicated, he will discuss reconstruction for repair of the excision site.
